Find out what cookies are and what cookies we use on our website

What are cookies?

A cookie is a file that is downloaded to the user's device when accessing certain web pages to store and retrieve information about the navigation that is carried out from said equipment.

Cookies allow said website, among other things, to store and retrieve information about the user's decisions and habits.

It is important to note that the use of cookies does not provide personal data of the user, who remains anonymous.

The user can configure their browser to not accept the use of cookies, however, they will not be able to access our service since they will not be able to log in as a client.

What kind of cookies are there?

Depending on the owner of the cookie:

  • Own cookies: Are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.
  • Third party cookies: Are those that are sent to the user's terminal equipment from a computer or domain managed by the editor itself and from which the service requested by the user is provided.

Depending on the duration of the cookie:

  • session cookies: They are a type of cookies designed to collect and store data while the user accesses a web page
  • persistent cookies: They are a type of cookies in which the data is still stored in the terminal and can be accessed and processed during a period defined by the person responsible for the cookie, and which can range from a few minutes to several years.

What do we use cookies for??

Additionally, depending on their purpose, Cookies can be classified as follows:

User session cookies: User session Cookies are those that are used so that the user can use their account as a client, and whose function is to keep the user identified so that, if they close a service or web, the browser or the computer and at another time or another day you re-enter said service or website, you will continue to be identified, thus facilitating your navigation without having to identify yourself again. This functionality can be suppressed if the user presses the "Close session" functionality, so that this Cookie is eliminated and the next time the user enters the web, he will have to log in to be identified.

Analytics cookies: Every time a User visits a Website or Service, a tool from an external provider, such as Google Analytics, generates an analytical cookie on the user's device. This cookie, which is only generated during the visit, will serve on future visits to anonymously identify the visitor. The main objectives pursued are:

  • Allow the anonymous identification of browsing users through the "Cookie" (identifies browsers and devices, not people) and therefore the approximate accounting of the number of visitors and their trend over time.
  • Anonymously identify the most visited content and therefore the most attractive for users
  • Know if the user who is accessing is new or recurring.
